Six canning factories of the Kuban began processing apples

The canning factories of the Krasnodar Territory began processing apples of a new crop.

The processing is carried out by five factories of medium capacity, including our enterprise Sladich Kuban LLC (Kanevsky district), which plans to process about 30 thousand tons of apples in 2016, the press service of the regional Ministry of Agriculture reports.

The total demand for fresh fruits and fruit and berry concentrates for the processing season in 2016 is 54 thousand tons.

Raw materials for processing come from Kuban agricultural producers, and are also purchased in neighboring regions - Stavropol Territory, Rostov Region, the republics of the North Caucasus and the Republic of Crimea.

In 2015, the enterprises of the canning industry of the region processed more than 48 thousand tons of fruit raw materials.

In the Krasnodar Territory, in 2016, processors of fruit and vegetable raw materials plan to produce at least 1.270 million conventional cans of canned products. More than 85% of raw materials for the factories will be supplied from vegetable and fruit farms in the region.

In the Krasnodar Territory, at the end of 2015, canning enterprises produced 1 billion 264 million conventional cans (mb). Industry experts view this figure as a record.

According to the director of the Kuban Canned Food Union Alexander Nesin, a little more than half of the products are grown by the enterprises themselves, about 35% comes from farmers, and 10% is imported from other regions.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the region, enterprises of the region - 12 large and about 35 of medium and small capacity - produce 14.4% of the volume of canned fruits and vegetables in Russia.
